Ready to Ship Taz Muzzles
These muzzles ship within 1 working day and come exactly as shown, with the colours and fastening type visible before purchase.
The Taz is designed for medium-sized breeds and offers more pant room and slightly more width than our other medium muzzles. It features a newly designed head strap attachment for a flatter profile and reduced sight obstruction. We do not recommend sizing based solely on breed due to the variability within each breed. However, to provide a general idea, the Taz size commonly fits the following breeds (note: this is not an exhaustive list):
German Shepherd
Malinois
Retriever
Dalmatian
Labrador
Smaller Husky
Small Akita

Noseband Options
The only difference between a standard and * noseband is the width. The * noseband features a 38mm Biothane band, which can add a bit of extra length when paired with the basket. The basket itself remains the same.

The standard Taz muzzle weighs approximately 208 grams.

This was a great upgrade from the Baskerville Ultra muzzles we tried previously, neither of which fit correctly or had enough pant room. My female GSD seemed to be on the borderline between a regular Taz and a Taz* with the wider noseband, so initially I went for the standard option, but found that my girl's nose was touching the end of the basket. So I then purchased a Taz* foam padded noseband which has made it the perfect fit. The muzzle looks fantastic and seems really secure - it doesn't budge even when my dog shakes (as in the shake dogs do to de-stress). I purchased a headstrap but actually I don't think it's needed, I would definitely fit the headstrap if my dog was going to wear the muzzle during play with other dogs, but for walks the basic muzzle design is fit for purpose.
Finally found the right size with the help of your lovely staff . Its lightweight and comfy and my dog Caesar is happy to wear it and doesn’t try and knock it off
Honey Boy loves his new muzzle! His last one gave him not much pant room and was too constrictive. This is the first muzzle that he seems to feel comfortable with and he never even tries to get it off! It gives us the freedom to take him who can be dog reactive out for walks with the comfort of knowing he can’t hurt another dog if they come running up to him etc- which happens a lot……

I love this muzzle. My dog is a husky mix, she has a weird shaped face so finding a muzzle that fit while still having proper pant room (and a scavenger guard on the way) was very important. She's not a bite risk even remotely, but after eating a live snake, gravel, rocks, etc. I'm not willing to risk surgery when I could just muzzle train her. She loves the muzzle, it's a great fit and is comfortable. The treat hole makes it super easy to train with, and I honestly think it's nicer than my other dogs polymer coated leerburg basket muzzle. Highly recommend!
I thought I ordered the Taz muzzle but think I ended up with the Taz*. I have had to modify it a little to keep the wide noseband from sliding into her eyes but overall great quality muzzle and seems to fit her well except the nose band.
